Romantic Suspense
Tech Sgt. Mason “Smooth” Randolph had only moments to revel in the fact that the small mishap with a test drop for a new supersonic jet didn’t kill him. Then he was looking down the barrel of an M4 carbine held by a woman with a smoking-hot body.
Jill Walczak was following an anonymous tip about a lead to identifying a serial killer and instead finds the Romeo of Area 51 parachuting into a restricted area. As one of the highly classified civilian security force officers, Jill is used to being in dangerous situations. But when Mason flashes that sexy smile, she can’t be sure if it’s her hormones setting off the blazing inferno in her body or if it’s a warning against the practiced charm of a mad man.

A kick ass heroine, a super sexy hero and a look into the workings of Area 51. Who could resist?
From the first tantalizing sentence to the very last word, Catherine Mann had my undivided attention. I heard Renegade reviewed at a writer’s get-together and knew immediately I’d have to find it. Waiting through a week of life’s obstacles before cracking the book was the hardest thing I’ve had to do, but it was so worth it. The sexual tension between Mason and Jill literally sizzled off the pages. The mystery of the “Killer Alien” had me guessing until the very end. The description of Area 51 was excellent (fictional or not, I don’t care. I would love to be a fly on the wall there…).
I haven’t read any of the other books in the series, but I liked this one so much that I’ve already ordered the others. Renegade is a great fast-paced story that was a lot of fun to read.
