Dr. Jonah Armstrong is Dr. Jacinta McCloud’s patient in the emergency room of her hospital in Australia after a Malaria attack. She is impressed by his knowledge and the work he does in a mission hospital in Papua, New Guinea . His good looks and charisma, she also notices.
When Jacinta is given the opportunity to work at the hospital in New Guinea she takes it. Jonah is outwardly displeased to see her, but admits to himself she does have an effect on him. As they work together he begins to appreciate her abilities as a doctor, and her charms as a woman.
Needing to make a trip to see patients in an interior village, Jonah takes Jacinta along. They are kidnapped while in route. Jonah must save the chief’s son’s life. Knowing the boy is going to die and they will be killed, Jonah tells Jacinta he loves her. They make love. Jonah forces Jacinta to escape without him when she has a chance. She leaves him behind believing Jonah has been killed. After returning to Australia, Jacinta discovers she is pregnant.
At the hospital again, she discovers that Jonah is alive and a patient there, but he has amnesia. He doesn’t remember their night together or what they meant to each other. As they spend time together, Jonah starts to remember Jacinta. He learns of the baby and remembers their love. He asks if he can share a life with Jacinta’s and the baby.
Nice quick read.

Susan,
Thanks for bringing this one to our attention. I like to have a few books in my TBR pile for those times when I need to just relax & not think of anything scary.
This one sounds perfect.
Sandy
