I’m a sucker for the forty- five days of Christmas movies on the Lifetime and Hallmark channels this time of year. They are particularly wonderful after a month of the awful Halloween movies. I have to work not to get so caught up in a movie that I get nothing else done. Each weekend there are two new movies and during the week and all day on the weekends, the older movies are played.
I can recommend these. Have cup of hot tea and curl up and spend a few hours enjoying a romance.

Hitched for the Holidays

I’m looking forward to a new one called a Bride for Christmas on Saturday night.

Do you have a particular holiday romance movie you enjoy?

I’m out of town last few days & tomorrow and hard to keep internet. I love those movies and, I’m afraid I do let some things go and will watch and rewatch if I’ve got time.
Thanks for the head’s up, Susan. I’m going to set my DVR to record some of these. My fav romantic holiday movie is The Holiday.
I don’t generally watch Lifetime because there are so many other TV shows I watch, but not because I don’t like it. I just never think of it. The other day when my husband was channel surfing I saw a movie that looked good on Lifetime and asked him to record it. It was amazing. I think it was called something like Under the Christmas Table with the girl who played Winnie Cooper, Danica McKellers. I loved it and now I am addicted. So, hopefully I can get some other work done.
You are missing out on a great holiday season if you don’t watch a few.
I like The Holiday also. I fell in love with Jude Law.
It is easy to get hooked.
Holiday in Handcuffs and The Most Wonderful Time of the Year have been on my “must watch” list for years now. I love the Hallmark channel holiday movies and look forward to the new ones each year. Definitely “feel-good” TV. (And who doesn’t love a guaranteed happy ending?
I love “The Holiday” too. As soon as I finish NaNoWriMo I am going into full Christmas mode. And watching “The Holiday” is at the top of my list. But I will check out some of these Lifetime movies too. Thanks for the recommendations, Susan!
LOVE White Christmas, of course, but really enjoyed A Princess for Christmas and a friend says “Love at the Thanksgiving Parade” was good (okay, not Christmas, but it is replaying on Hallmark on the 4th of Dec).
Debora,
You are so right! Got to love a happy ending.
Pam,
You won’t be disappointed.
White Christmas is my all time favorite. “Love at the Thanksgiving Parade ” is super good.
Hi Susan,
(Sorry I’m late) I LOVE Christmas music & Christmas movies. There’s several we watch every year…and then there’s the Hallmark ones we watch as they come on TV.
One of my husband’s is the first Die Hard. Don’t laugh…it’s set at Christmas time, so he counts it. (men…sigh)
