Once again you hit a homer, found myself slipping away to woulda, coulda, shouldas (yes, I know that isn’t proper english). Had to check myself and then enjoyed the rest of the story. Ah, if only life were this wonderful. Keep up the good work. I like your style, as it reminds me of the Hallmark shows that always have a happy and predictable ending, but it still gets to me. I’m pulling for them, but then, at my age, I guess that I am just becoming an ol softee…………

Thanks for dropping by and commenting. I agree that some are able to hold on to childhood bonds…and that’s a great thing. I haven’t remained close to any I knew in grammar school (we moved from the east coast to the west coast) BUT I’ve managed to stay in touch with several of my high school friends.

Wonderful story. Many people hold special bonds with childhood friends. It is great if they get to grow old living near each other and sharing life experiences. It is quite special when they reunite after being separated, whether it is just continued friendship or falling in love.
You hit my favorites with the beach, a red head and a momento of the past (I still have one given to me when I was 13).
