I tried the C25K last year and ran two 5Ks…I need to get started again, but the weather is not conducive to a good run for me.

One of the things I learned is that walking fast is every bit as good as running. The first race I hurt my foot from running the week before and barely dragged myself across the finish line. Now I don’t run the week before a race, I just walk fast. And each time I’ve beat my time by 2-3 minutes.

I hope this first race is the beginning of many more! Maybe we need to have a Petit Fours and Hot Tamales 5K…!
