I love musicals, but I don’t like to cry – so I knew I’ve have a delemma. It was sucha moving experience, I brought the CD.
I’m going to have to see Django Unchained and Lincoln. And then we’ll talk again.

Sia, this is such a clever way to highlight Les Meserables. Because I’m not too fond of musicals I was surprised that I enjoyed watching it. But what’s not to love about Hugh Jackman. I also saw Gjango Unchained and loved it. Quentin Tarantino is so talented. While J. Fox and K. Washington were good, my favorite character was played by Samuel Jackson. He was such a hoot!

Hi Maxine,
I’ve seen two versions of Les Mis, one musical and the other not. Some of the singing voices of the secondary characters including Marius, Eponine & Enjoiras were beautiful. For me it was nice to see these younger actors. I hope to see them again.

Hi Connie,
I haven’t seen any of the other films. I want to see Lincoln. I agree about Django Unchained – although Q. Tarantino got best director – my son told me there were parts where I’d turn my head away. What’s interesting about all 3 films, is they have a slavery theme. Hard competation this year.

Sia,I have loved every version I’ve seen of Les Miserables and cried at each. Musicals are not my favorite, but I’d like to see some of these people sing.

I made it a point to watch the Oscars this year because of the great movies up for Best Picture.
I didn’t see Les Miserables (my husband can’t stand musicals)and I didn’t want to be depressed.
I loved Lincoln, and I want to see Silver Linings Playbook. I’ll probably wait for Django to come out on cable-not a big Quentin Tarantino fan, but like Jamie Fox.

Glad you enjoyed the trailer. It is sad, I cried quite a bit & I try not to read books that make me cry. But good does come of the bad and there is hope at the end.
As far as the Oscars, normally I don’t watch the whole thing, but I love Les Mis so much, I stayed up this year.

You are my muscial buddy. Hugh Jackman emotional arc was amazing, showing what a great actor he is. I was impressed by Russell Crowe too.
