It really is a beautiful place. I’m excited to be writing about it. It has so much to offer. The sinking in the snow thing this year was a new experience. I’ve never been in that much! My husband didn’t find it as funny as my friend and I did. =)

The one and only time I’ve been to Tahoe there was eight feet of snow. So much so that we didn’t get to ski but it sure was beautiful.

I grew up in the Midwest with the snow and ice (but without the beauty of Lake Tahoe)and I don’t miss it. I’m ready for the sun and the beach.

I am getting cold reading this! … When you talk about sinking in the snow, I can feel every bit of it! It has happened a lot where we live in the NY snowbelt. So familiar. Love this.

Hi,
Well, having lived in Southern CA and in the Sacramento area, I understand loving the warm weather. Our favorite place to ski was Squaw Valley (at Lake Tahoe)and have a ton of great memories from there when we used to take the kids.

I also hate the cold, but with the right clothes, I stand stand it for a bit…and you’re right about Lake Tahoe being absolutely beautiful.

I lived in Denver long enough to know I much prefer warmer climates. Snow is pretty, but I’d rather experience it as ambiance out the window. I’ll join Maxine fireside.

However, Lake Tahoe does look like a great summer vacation spot. Looking forward to learning more about it.
