Blog Tour – One Good Cowboy by Catherine Mann

We’re thrilled to have Catherine Mann as our guest today.  Since our group blog name refers to food (Petit Fours and Hot Tamales) I asked Catherine to tell us her ten favorite desserts.  Following is her answer.  We’d love for you to comment on her list…and maybe add your favorite dessert to tempt us today.  We’d also love to hear if you’ve read some of her books and which one is your favorite.

“What are you doing?”

“You said you didn’t want to talk.” Sure he knew they weren’t really going to have sex on his desk, but he reveled in the regret in her eyes that she couldn’t hide in spite of her scowl.

“You’re being outrageous.”

“Stop. Now,” she said firmly.

Okay, he’d pushed her far enough for today, but he could see that while their love for each other might have burned out, their passion still had plenty of fire.

He buttoned his shirt again and tucked in the tails.  “Spoilsport.”

She brushed papers into a stack. “The pilot’s waiting.”

“Damn waste of an empty desk,” he said with a smile…

Sierra McDaniel needs a break. Her family life is crazy, and when she’s not mucking out kennels, she’s slogging through grad school. Sierra certainly doesn’t want another dog, especially one that reminds her of her father. And she definitely doesn’t want to see Mike with that charming smile of his…

I’ve read several of Catherine Mann’s books…and I think my favorite was For the Sake of Their Son. As to my favorite dessert, I’d say New York Cheesecake with strawberries.

Thanks for visiting the blog today, Catherine! With the exception of the Petit Fours, I would say that you like nuts! I’m not as crazy about nuts, but I do like pralines. They are wonderful. And I have to say, I love your headshot with the dog in the front and the RITA in the back. Very creative!

Debbie Kaufman - April 30, 2014 - 9:14 am

Wow, good thing I already ate breakfast or I’d have to find a bakery after reading that list! As for me, I line up more with your husband’s sweet tooth. I love banana pudding, pineapple upside down cake and peach cobbler!

All my puppies (now sweet old lady dogs) have been rescue dogs, so I love your theme!

Pam Asberry - April 30, 2014 - 9:30 am

That’s a great list! My favorite dessert is fudge brownies, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. And divinity fudge? I’m going to have to google that. Thank you so much for blogging with us today!

Sia Huff - April 30, 2014 - 9:53 am

Do I have to choose just one favorite book? Let’s see, of Cathy’s Desire’s, I’d have to say, All Or Nothing. Plus she has a great Dark Ops series about flyboys. Ahhh.
As far as desserts, I’m trying to convert over to foods without flour. But one of top all time favs is strawberry shortcake and I make a great apple pie. I have to figure a way to convert these favorites.
Like Debbie, I love the new theme of rescue pets. It goes with your volunteer work for the Humane Society.
Wishing you many sales, Cathy. You know you’ll have one with me.

It is so good to see you hear. I have enjoyed many of your books.
I love any thing with butter and sugar in it and not good for me.
Lookforward to seeing you soon.

Marilyn Baron - April 30, 2014 - 12:15 pm

Concidentally, I just went to the bakery and picked up one of my favorite desserts, wedding cookies. I also love key lime pie and chocolate chip ice cream.

Thanks for blogging with us and good luck with your new release.

Maxine Davis - April 30, 2014 - 3:09 pm

Catherine, I’m going to get Shelter Me as soonas I see it. Sounds wonderful. I try to bypass desserts, but your list makes my mouth water. I’d add key lime pie and Red Velvet Cake. Yum!

Catherine Mann - April 30, 2014 - 4:56 pm

Oh my goodness, all these posts are making me so hungry!! And we’re all stuck in the house because of flash floods washing out the streets …. hmmmm….. am going to have to pick through my pantry for baking goods! LOL! :) Thank you so much to all who stopped by to comment!!

Walt Mussell - April 30, 2014 - 10:41 pm

I have to admit, if I listed my favorite desserts, cheesecake would appear in several forms. I also love key lime pie. I’ve never bypassed a dessert table in my life.

Carol Burnside - May 1, 2014 - 12:48 am

Substitute Raspberries for the Blueberries and I could go for any or all of your top 10 desserts.
