Meet Me at the Decatur Book Festival

If you love books, you won’t want to miss the Ninth Annual 2014 AJC Decatur Book Festival on Labor Day weekend. The AJC Decatur Book Festival is the largest independent book festival in the country. I’ll be participating on a panel called Tackling Sensitive Topics in Fiction with Linda Joyce, Melissa Klein and Kennedy Ryan. We’re very excited about our presentation.  We will be giving away Starbucks gift certificates to the first eight people who ask questions after the talk and we will be signing our latest books right after the presentation. I’ll be signing my new book, Stones, which won’t be officially released until September 26, but there will be some advance copies available for sale at the festival.

Our time slot is on Saturday, August 30, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Hope to see you there! It should be a lot of fun. For more information, visit our Facebook event site.

Tens of thousands of people from metro Atlanta and beyond will share the historic downtown Decatur square with world-class authors, illustrators, editors, publishers, booksellers, and artists for a weekend filled with literature, music, food, art, and fun. It’s going to be the biggest celebration of the written word yet.

I know some of you will be going to Dragon Con, which is the same weekend, but we hope you’ll stop by for a while. There is a great lineup of speakers at the Georgia Romance Writers Pavilion and in locations around the festival.  Here’s more information:

We’ll be at the Georgia Romance Writers’ Pavilion (labeled Romance Authors Space on the map, designated by an “R,”) in Cluster 413, 414, 415, and 416, near the Emerging Authors Stage.

Looking forward to your panel Marilyn! I love your cover too!

Readers love the humorous way you handle the challenges the characters in your books face. I know they’ll also connect with the family issues you’re going to discuss Saturday. I’m also excited to be talking about characters with disabilities-a topic I’m passionate about.
